Flags In

Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry "Old Guard" worked with members of the Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard to dress more than a quarter-million graves Thursday to prepare for the Memorial Day holiday.

The 250,000 flags were placed in a little more than three hours.

"Flags In" has been a Memorial Day tradition at the Arlington National Cemetery since 1948. It is the only time of year flags are displayed on every grave.
