John Carl Osmolski was born on October 19, 1984. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a member of the 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He was killed in Iraq during combat operations on February 5, 2008.He was 23 years old.
An article written by Mark Berman of the Washington Post said the following:
"He was just doing his job," his brother, Daniel Osmolski, told the Orlando Sentinel last week. "His goal was always to go into the Army and serve his country."
